An experiential workshop with horses
Date and Time
Saturday, May 9, 2020
Location: Corrales Horse Park
Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Do life’s ups and downs cause you to numb out and distract to avoid your emotions?
Does self-doubt creep into your hopes and dreams stifling creativity and blocking you from living your dreams?
Do you spend most of your time caring for others but overlooking your personal needs?
Do you long to find a deeper sense of connection and belonging and wonder where to turn?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, you are not alone.
For the longest time, I did too. I knew deep in my soul that there had to be more to life. I distracted myself and gave too much. Understanding my truth was a foreign concept.
Many of us live with a false sense of identity through social media, comparing other human beings’ lives to our own. What was supposed to create connection is quite the opposite. We are disconnected from each other and, most importantly, from ourselves.
If we can perhaps take some time to slow down enough to reconnect with nature and our ability to sense, we can begin to access the innate intelligence that we all have within us waiting to be enlivened; a place where healing and forward movement occurs. We all have a unique blueprint.
If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to have you join me and a herd of horses for a life-changing exploration:
Un-Numb: Living on the Edge, not the Ledge
Why would we explore with horses?
Horses are herd animals, just like humans. Although we are similar, they are prey animals. They sense through their adrenal system, which keeps them safe in the wild, yet they live in the present moment and not in a story.
During the workshop, we will explore our internal dialogue with open curiosity and become more self-aware and authentic. The horse behavior will reflect a transference of that energy in a distinct way. There is no telling what the horse will show you, but how they communicate with humans is an experiential process with profound results.
In this safe space, we will work on body sensation, learning to trust our intuition, rediscovering the body’s innate intelligence, personal confidence, self-awareness, empowerment and tapping into the body’s five senses through the seasons of change, the body compass, nature and horses as we begin the process of restoration in order to come home to our authentic selves.
This is a one-day event that will take place in the heart of Corrales, New Mexico. Our time together will consist of working on the ground with horses. There will be no riding.
You should expect to leave with a greater sense of peacefulness and purpose as well as strategies and actions that you can put into effect in your life for a long-lasting sense of well-being and contentment.
Cost: The cost of this one-day workshop is $197 per person and includes materials, refreshments, and lunch. This workshop is limited to 8 participants to ensure a rich, transformational experience.
Transportation to the ranch is not included in the registration fee, however transportation suggestions can be provided.
